Teacher’s helpers - age 9-12
Participate in children’s classes while assisting the teacher. Guide young children through the lessons while you absorb the content at a savings. You must be at least one year older than the ages listed for the class participants. Children’s classes have limited teacher’s helper availability so enroll early.
For more information or to register see the schedule for children’s classes

Volunteer fundraising project – all ages
To help fulfill school volunteer requirements or if you simply wish to help the museum, Lindsay Wildlife Museum has a unique opportunity for you. We have lists of items that the museum uses to help care for wild animals that you (under the direction of your parents) can help collect from friends and neighbors. By collecting these items and delivering them to the museum, you will be helping the museum and providing a valuable service. Stop by the museum Monday-Friday between 9 am and 5 pm for more information. To see a list of commonly requested items click here.

Community Service - ages 16+
If you have community service hours to fulfill that are either court ordered or for a school requirement, visit the museum Tuesday-Friday between 10 am and 5 pm to complete an application to fulfill your community service requirements.

Interpretive Guides - ages 12-16
The Interpretive Guide program provides in-depth, hands-on science education for responsible, enthusiastic students. IG's learn about animals and nature, explore career opportunities, learn leadership and public speaking skills, meet other teens with similar interests and take an active role in the community. The program requires a one-year commitment, from January through December.

Summer Science Camp Counselor – ages 12-17
Participate in our camp helping younger campers. Every day brings new adventures with live animals, science experiments and arts and crafts projects. This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved at Lindsay Wildlife Museum during the summer months. There are several camp sessions to choose from.
For more info or to register see the schedule for summer camp.

Be sure to check out all the great classes offered for children and families
